Testing Tools

I'm always on the lookout for tools to help improve the quality in the development process.

Today I found AppPerfect who have a development suite and a deployment suite of tools.

The dev suite has:
* Unit Tester
* Code Analyzer
* Java / J2EE Profiler
* Functional Tester
* Load Tester

and the deployment suite has
* J2EE monitor, System (JVM) monitor, DB and web server monitor.

The price is a lot less steep than the Rational products we've been looking at, and admittedly the AppPerfect suite are less functional, but seem to have a good coverage of what we need.

Once I get the time, I'll grab the 30 day download and give it a spin.

If anyone's used it before, drop me a line!

Hey Dion, if you are looking for testing framework, you might want to take a look at TestNG:

Hey Dion,

Check the latest version of AppPerfect and you will see many more features at the same price!!!!

They are coming up with v 5.0 in a short while. They seem to release the product every few months with many new features added to the product. More over its Standard version is free.
Cheers!!!
